Hi

Tomorrow if bloods ok I start my first new treatment for returning breast cancer.  I am to get the Faslodex injections and take the palbociclib tablets so was wondering for those on this treatment when is best to take the tablets, morning or evening or does the hospital just tell you when they should be taken?

sorry if this is a silly question?

Crawford.

Hi, my instructions are just to take with or just after food. But the label also says that they might make you sleepy (haven't noticed anything yet but I've only been on them about two weeks). So, I guess it's up to you and when you are most likely to remember to take them. I take mine with breakfast because evening meals can be a bit sporadic here and I'd probably forget.

  • Thanks for your reply I will probably take with Breakfast as it’s usually same time whereas evening meal can vary.  Hope all goes well with your treatment.

  • Hi Crawford,

Definitely not a silly question - I’ve been taking Palbociclib for 3 cycles now and about to start my 4th next week. I always take my tablet after breakfast.

I hope all goes well for you tomorrow XXX

  • Hi Ruby2016

Hope all goes well with you next week.

    Take care. X
