I know this might sound strange but I was all set and feeling optimistic about masectomy and reconstruction. Although I had not met the plastic surgeon, one had been allocated and being the type of person I am had researched thoroughly. Met the registrar for initial meeting as plastic surgeon on holiday and discussed them and was told in extremely safe hands, one of the best.
Two weeks before surgery had a phone call to change surgeon, with no real reason why apart from his list had changed. This has broken me, I know it’s stupid but I just feel powerless and depressed. When I asked about waiting or if I had any choice was told no you don’t want to do that with cancer do you?
advice please?
