Hi,
I am 47 and was diagnosed with stage 2 her 2 breast cancer in September 2023, I had 7 rounds of chemo, a lumpectomy, radiotherapy and then 12 months kadcyla which was completed in may last year.
during my kadcyla treatment I started taking tamoxifen, in August last year I had a blood test which showed I was “well established “ in the menopause and was switched to letrozole.
about 8 weeks ago I was discharged from oncology. About 4 weeks ago I started menstrual bleeding, went to my local go, had a scan and nothing untoward was found. I have since had another one about 28 days after, and I am now worried that I was started on letrozole too soon and what this means about keeping the cancer from reoccurring. Had any one had any experience of this and can I still ring oncology even though I have been discharged??
thanks xx
