Hi Cloverfield1
Treatment recommendations depend on a number of factors. The grade and size of tumour will come into it, but also what receptors (if any) your mum’s cancer has. If chemo might help, the oncologist should go through risks and benefits. She can ask them to take her through her Predict score, which shows outcomes for people in the past who have been in similar situations. Ultimately it is always your mum’s decision and obviously her overall health will be a factor in deciding whether to have any offered treatments.
