Incontinence after treatment for breast cancer

Hi folks, sorry to be discussing such an unpleasant subject.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer about a year ago. My cancer was hormone positive grade 3. I’ve had all the treatments, two surgeries, lumpectomy and node removal, chemo, radiotherapy and am now on letrazole for 10 years and expecting to also take ribociclib after the next meeting with the oncologist. Also zolodronic acid every 6 months for 3 years. Long story short, I am experiencing some faecal incontinence and seem to be ‘going’ more often than before. Has anyone else experienced this - I’m thinking that it could be the meds, and hope it’s nothing more sinister.

  • Hi there, sorry to hear about your side effects, this must be so frustrating.  I'd suggest you might want to chat to your GP or your BCN to see what they recommend.  Best wishes
