Hi I’m new to the group. I had colorectal cancer 5 years ago which I am now free from. In October last year I was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer and had a lumpectomy. 6 months on now I am feeling very painful in my joints due to my medication, extremely fatigued and more depressed. Is this normal sounding for anyone else ?
Hi there, you don't mention what medication you are on, but I have occasional joint pain from taking letrozole. I find exercise helps me and it tends to be worse if I have to stand for a long time. I don't suffer from other symptoms but tiredness can also be a side effect.
Have you had a chat with your GP or BCN about how you're feeling? They might be able to adjust your dose or make other recommendations.
You can also call the lovely folks here at Macmillan. They are available 8am to 8pm daily for a chat or some advice. You can ring them on 0800 808 0000. Best wishes
