Hi,
After having chemo, surgery then radiotherapy for invasive ductal breast cancer I am now having Letrozole daily and Phesgo and Zometa every 3 and 12 weeks.
I have been left with neuropathy to my feet, hands, legs and mouth which is gradually getting worse. I am lucky in that at the moment it isn't painful but the increased burning, tingling and numbness is starting to interfere with my daily life. I find sleeping becoming more of a challenge and simple things like standing in a queue, typing this and handwriting are getting harder. Plus, with the numbness in my lips, I can find that when I am drinking liquid escapes and I don't realise (very embarrassing)
There are so many things on the market that claim to work I just wonder if anyone has tried anything that does do what it claims to do. I
have compression socks, a spiky ball for my hand and feet, have tried a cream called Mira and use magnesium cream. My husband, bless him, massages my feet and legs everyday for at least 15 minutes.
The oncologist has prescribed Pyridoxine but nothing seems to be working. They are now talking about changing my medication which scares the life out of me!
I am getting to the stage that it is making me feel really low with the thought of what it may become.
Thank you
