I have a question, and I need to admit—it’s been bothering me a bit.
Back in January, I was diagnosed with mixed ductal and lobular breast cancer. It was Grade 2, with the largest tumour measuring 88mm, and 19 lymph nodes were involved. I was told I have a high risk of recurrence.
Since then, I’ve completed chemotherapy, had a single mastectomy, and received radiotherapy to treat cancer under my collarbone. I’m now on letrozole and abemaciclib.
My last CT scan showed I’m clear of cancer, and I’m really, really happy about that.
However, at my last appointment, I was told I won’t have any routine future tests or checks for cancer. Any follow-up will be based on symptoms. Is that normal? Should I check with them again?
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
