Hi All
Sorry to trouble you but I’m a little bit worried. I think I have felt a lump in my left breast. It’s only 2cm or so and feels quite hard- I can’t seem to move it.
I was diagnosed with cervical cancer last year and went through radiotherapy, surgery and chemotherapy. About 6 months prior to that I had a contained breast cancer in right breast which just required a lumpectomy.
I’m not sure if I’m worrying over nothing or whether it’s just the anxiety of cancer returning. I don’t really know what to do surely I can’t have cancer in the other breast now?
Hi RaeRae2009 , sorry you have had to deal with cervical cancer and a breast cancer (I’m assuming it was an ‘in situ’ breast cancer?). Re the lump you have found…. The majority of breast lumps and bumps are not cancer, but the only way to know for sure is to have it checked. I’ve had several breast issues over the years (I’m 65) - nodular breasts, duct ectasia, fibroadenoma and cysts - all benign - then at 59, cancer. I’ve had lumpectomy, radiotherapy and still on hormone treatment, so far, so good.
Please contact your GP to get it checked. I feel sure they will refer you to the breast clinic to get it checked. Then you’ll know what it is. The chances are it’s benign but always best to be sure. Love and hugs, HFxx
