Hi

what are the best post surgery bras? I bought two from M & S and when I tried it feels small. Should I buy one size bigger? Are there any other shops I can go to in SE London?
thanks x

  • Depends what style you like, but I found a Nike zip front high support sports bra I already had to be perfect. Snug enough to offer some compression and the padding felt protective. I personally don’t rate the supermarket ones, they offer very little support. There are also some brilliant ‘Invisible’ crop tops in Primark which I stepped into (not the ribbed ones but made of a seamless thin material with removable padding), I sized up for those. x

  • Just to add, I wouldn’t spend a fortune on lots of bras until you have healed properly and know what’s what. Maybe get a couple so you can wear one and wash one as you may find that you can go back to your usual underwear.

  • Thank you. Should I get one size bigger?x

  • Hi i Got mine from M&S they was fine but did need to size up one in the post surgery bra and I got a sports one which I sized up x2. They also take the VAT off post surgery bras. Best of luck to you x

  • I bought an M&S post surgery bra with hooks and eyes up the front in my usual size before my lump and sentinel node surgery, it was good for 2-3 weeks, after which I wished I had the smaller cup size. No issues with the rib cage size, but it seemed that I would have had a better fit with B rather  than C. Just stuck with it anyway and moved to crop tops and sports bras, stretchy, firm snd snug. Sainsbury’s and M&S.
