Had a dexa bone scan today after taking Letrozole for 3months so far. Was told the results would take about ten weeks. Is this normal?
Hi Woody14
I guess it just depends when the experts at the hospital are able to review the scans. It's not an urgent scan, so I wouldn't worry about the delay in the results.
If you haven't been prescribed them, ask your doctor for calcium and vitamin D tablets (iCalVitD) as these will support your bones as the Letrozole reduces the oestrogen in your body,
Best wishes,
Lesley
thanks for your reply. Will ask my doc for some then xx
