Hello im new here so hope this is okay to post. Ive been in remission from breast cancer since march 2023 and have been taking letrozole. I do a lot of exercise, mainly running, and found a muscle balm online which i thought would help me with sore knees. Only when i got it and had opened and tried some did i see it contains st johns wort which i know is contra-indicated with letrozole. Ive stopped taking it but would i have caused a problem using it once? Is it safe to use something like this as you are not ingesting?
Hi Me64
I'm Daisy53 one of the Community Champions on this forum. While I'm no expert I would think that having used the balm just the once shouldn't cause a problem. I suggest that you either get on to your chemo nurse or your breast care nurse to ask the second question you asked and they should be able to advice you.
Best wishes
