Hey there,
I was seen the day before Christmas eve for my mammogram and ultrasound as per the 2 week pathway.
They took several biopsies and I was taken into the nurse who saw me first who said has anyone spoken to you... I said no... and she instantly brought out the tissues and said I'm so sorry.
I asked what she was talking about and she basically said while she cannot 100% confirm until results of biopsies... it looks like cancer.
Both Mammogram and ultrasound code are showing as a 5 and they've seen over 5 lymph nodes which are enlarged and concerning as well as the dimpling and also lump.
I am desperate to find some support as I feel like I've been given a partial diagnosis but they won't say for sure....
I've since had bloods and mri and ct scan.
The wait is awful.
I know we are all different but keen to know others diagnosis from a lump, dimpling and also 5 nodes.... for at least some rough estimate of what could be.
I keep thinking I've imagined it all.
Hey
So didn't get home till 7pm as was an hour late taking me through.
It's spread to lymph... mastectomy booked for 7th Feb. Will need chemo and radiotherapy....
Not sure what I feel other than exhaustion right now x
So sorry to hear this. Though in your mind you know what they're going to tell you hearing them actually say it is hard. Try to stay positive. We both have a long and probably very difficult road ahead of us but we'll be in good hands and there is so much support if we need it and don't forget we have each other. XXXX
Hey,
Just wanted to pop in and say hello, a newbie here
I've just read through the previous posts and I'm very much in similar situation as some of you.
Diagnosed officially on the 6th Dec, appointment tomorrow with plastic surgeon to discuss mastectomy and reconstruction and praying I get a date...I just want this thing out my body
Glad I joined tonight, already feel like I'm not alone....after a lonely few weeks xx
Hey!
Welcome. I'm so sorry you are here too. I too just want this thing out! Hope appointment goes well. You absolutely are not alone!

Hi I was diagnosed with breast cancer on the 23rd May 2024 after finding an indentation about 5cm long under my right breast. The tumour itself was 42mm. Ive since had a lumpectomy in July and had to have my nodes removed as 9 out of the 12 were positive for cancer.
I've just finished 4 months of intense chemotherapy and am due to start radiotherapy on the 27th of this month.
It's been hard but the hospital staff have all been amazing. I totally understand your worries and waiting for news, test results and appointments just add to it all. Talking is good and there's so many people willing to help and offer advice.
Sending you big hugs and no matter what happens remember your stronger than you know x
