Hi all,
I spent some much time to look for help, advise support. Looks like I am in right place now.
I’m 35 years old and I just had removed tumour 3 weeks ago. I’m stage I. Next step told by surgeon is radiotherapy and hormonal therapy-Tamoxifen.
I do not have children yet as it was something I plan for this year. Starting Radiotherapy and staring taking tamoxifen I won’t be able to get pregnant for next 5years at least and finishing taking pill in my 40’ I am afraid I will be menopause
Can I froze my eggs? Or what’s the option. No one go though this with me. Is it something NHS can help with? Who is best to ask?
I am so lost
Thank you
Magda
Hi MagdaKK
Welcome to the forum and I am sorry to hear that at you were diagnosed with breast cancer, I know from other people on here under the age of 40 that they have been given the option of freezing their eggs before they start treatment. I suggest that you ring the Macmillan helpline on 0808 808 0000 to talk to someone about your situation and they should be able to steer you in the right direction. The helpline is open from 8 am to 8 pm seven days a week.
Best wishes
