Hi all

I’ve had my lumpectomy and my results came back to say there is cancer in my lymph nodes so I will need a second operation to remove them but chemo first

however they are sending my for a CT scan first and this has really scared me

has anyone had this happen ? I’m worried they will find cancer elsewhere x it’s hard enough knowing I still have this in my lymph nodes x

any advice appreciated x

thankyou

  • CT scans before chemo are pretty standard so that they can make sure they are giving you the right treatment.

Hands down worst two weeks of my life from knowing I was getting a CT scan to getting the results. It is utterly terrifying.

Not much anyone can say that will make you feel any better, but many people find it the hardest part of all so you are not alone in feeling worried.

Hope you get your scan and results quickly.

  • Hi, when they told me I needed a CT scan it freaked me out completely, more than anything else.   I think it's pretty routine though. Fingers crossed you get done quickly. Best wishes
