Hi diagnosed in the same breast after 24 years from original diagnosis. I had chemo, lumpectomy, node removal, letrazole, tamoxifen, zolodex and ovaries removed and it has now come back- Absolutely devastated. lump is 7mm, so small. ultrasound was clear under armpit Awaiting CT scan results which I am petrified if they found anything else.
Mastectomy planned and possible chemo again. My daughter gets married in 12 weeks.
Has anyone been through the same experience and has beaten this horrible disease a 2nd time. I am really struggling at the moment. I don't think I could take anymore bad news
thanks
Hi Southend and welcome to a forum that nobody really chooses to join. That said once here there us a wealth of information and support around and I feel sure that someone will be along soon to answer your queries. I am so very sorry to hear how devastated you are and little wonder after all that time having passed you would not be expecting those results. You beat this beast once and 24 years later treatments are so much changed and some improved, so there is no reason to suspect that you won't do this again. Your daughter getting married is something to keep focused on and we are here for you every step of the way whatever comes. Sending some huge big hugs your way for now. Xx
Hi Southend no I wasnt diagnosed twice but have had a few brushes with the Big C over the years and thankfully none have been anything except the Breast Cancer 6 years ago. My most recent trip was in relation to Womb Cancer which turned out to be negative but had to have a coil fitted as if left it would have become Cancerous so another narrow escape.
Hi Southend
Sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with breast cancer a second time. I was diagnosed last year with triple negative breast cancer for the second time nearly three years after I was first diagnosed with it. I had surgery, chemo and radiotherapy and I am now cancer free for the second time.
Wishing you the best of luck with your operation and hopefully you won't need further treatment.
Best wishes

Hi Daisy, I was diagnosed with triple negative last July and I will be finishing my final immunotherapy treatment Next week.
It’s been an incredibly long road -chemo, Blood transfusions, surgery, radiation, Xeloda,
I’m sorry you had to go through that twice!
same breast? Did you get Keytruda? And did they put you on Xeloda?
Cindy
