I am 49, I have regular period. I will have 1st chemo this Friday, before that, I will 1st injection (Zoladex) on Wed. Normally my period will come next week. I am wondering when do the symptoms kick after 1st injection of Zoladex?
I am worrying the side effects and menopause.xx
Hi Nana75 I have a different cancer to you, but I have been in zoledex for 10 years along side anastrozole. My experience was I found the menopause symptoms started almost immediately, especially the hot flushes. These have tailed off over the years, but I still get them. Other menopause symptoms crept in slightly slower, weight gain, brain fog for instance.
Everyone is different of course, and not everyone feels the symptoms as bad as others.
Good luck with your treatment, I hope it all goes well for you.
I’m 47 and I had chemo before so my periods had stopped for over a year. Zoladex related I have nothing major other than the occasional muscle, knee or back pain that might be related to PHESGO that I’m currently on. Nothing even warranting a painkiller tbh. Lucky me. One symptom kicked in two-three months later for me. I think it’s hot flushes. My face will kinda burn up for a minute or two, then it goes away.
Best of luck with your treatment.
Hi Brian69
I have injected almost 2 weeks, I got period in the same day(28days normally 30+), until now I didn't feel any symptoms, maybe ot will be happened 2 to 3 months later....
I read your profile, I am similar as ypu as also have lymph nodes spread. But I have done surgey and will have 4xEC then 4x Paclitaxel starting from next Thu(was delayed from last Fri). I am praying the side effects can be accepted and it can be smooth to go on on schedule. Xx
EC was ok -meaning chemo crap but manageable- for me, I had issues with Doxetaxel that you’re not having so… :) Try not to consider what all adverse effects others have till you do. It goes by quick. Count them down and pamper yourself like crazy, each one done gets you closer to your goal Best of luck!️
