Hope someone can help. I completed 6 months of chemo (EC then Carboplatin and Paclitaxel) with my las treatment on 24 May. Like so many others I suffered badly from loss of sense of taste and poor appetite but was assured they would return when chemo finished. Unfortunately that hasn’t been the case - in fact my appetite has got even worse and I can only manage berry small amounts of food before I feel full. As a result I’ve lost quite a lot of weight since May.
Have reported my concerns to my Breast Cancer nurse and to my GP. They have given me omeprazole (antacid) and build up drinks but I still feel really unwell. Has anyone else experienced these after effects this long after chemo finished?. Really worried as I feel I’m getting weaker rather than stronger and trying not to let my imagination run riot.
