Grade 3 invasive ductal carcinoma. ER8, PR7

Hi everyone

I have been diagnosed with  Grade 3 invasive ductal carcinoma. ER8, PR7, HER2 neg

I wondered if someone could explained what the ER8 and PR7 please.

I am having the lump removed in about 10 days and some nymph nodes removed if that helps.

My lump isn't noticeable from the skin and isn't easily to feel, it was found on a mammogram, it is 25mm by 14mm.  

thanks in advance for any help.  

  • Mine is grade 2 IDC, ER8, PR5, HER2 1+ LOW, mine was only about 8 or   9mm and felt and found by myself. 

    My understanding is the higher the number the more sensitive it is to oestrogen and progesterone, 8 being the highest.

    I had lumpectomy and sentinal node removal on Monday xx
