Hi, I have been taking letrozole for almost a year now but I'm still experiencing flushing numerous times daily which make me feel very uncomfortable. A nurse mentioned aromatherapy and accupuncture might help. Has anyone had experience of these treatments and was it helpful?
Hi Sardinia , I’m on Anastrozole which causes similar issues. After just over a year on it, I had a course of 6 weekly sessions of ear acupuncture at the Maggie’s Centre at Addenbrookes. It did help, and I met a couple of lovely people there who I still meet up with from time to time. I slept better too. However that was 4 years ago and I think the beneficial effects have worn off, I should see if I could have it again. Would definitely recommend seeing if you can get some sessions, is there a Maggie’s or MacMillan centre near you? Xx
Hi HappyFeet1, thank you so much for your reply. It's very encouraging to hear that your sessions of ear acupuncture helped with your flushes. I live in Cambridge so will now contact Maggies and hopefully get an appointment shortly. Wishing you all the very best and thank you again for your advice, xx
