I am keen to do the cold cap but my nurse said that some chemotherapy drugs my oncologist might not want me doing the cold cap?
Anyone know which chemo treatment this might be and has anyone experienced this? I don’t have my treatment plan yet.
thanks
Well I had fairly short hair to start with - it was very thick too. When it started to thin out & go a little patchy at the sides I did get my partner to cut it really short and I felt much better ! Before that I was just wearing a headband over the thinning bit!
It’s grown back quite quickly & thick too which I think has been because of the cold cap. So even if you think you’re losing quite a bit of hair & think it’s pointless continuing with it, I’d say persevere as it does help with regrowth!
good luck!!

Hiya - I’m waiting for my first chemo appointment (will have 6 cycles) and I’ve been reading up on paxman so your post is really helpful. The chemo team seem very positive about it and I’m thinking I’ll give it a go. Especially if it helps with the re growth
