Hi all, this is a follow up from a previous post. I hope you read this Kitty1 as I promised to let you know how I got on after being prescribed Latoprozole for my heartburn. Unfortunately it gave me stomach pains and diarrhoea every day so after 5 days I stopped taking it. Although whilst I was taking it I had no heartburn. Anyway the heartburn and reflux has now return but with less episodes. I’m guessing the lanoprozole reacted with the Amebaciclib. However Diarrhoea is a listed side effect.
So Kitty1, if you can tolerate it without the side effects I described then it could work for you.
Best wishes to everyone x
i was given pantoprazole sodium, which worked, once heartburn stopped i didnt take them anymore, i still have some and use only occasionally
Hi Mibby, I found Gaviscon really helpful with my heartburn. After I had an episode in hospital they prescribed lansoprazole which I found worked well for me too, plus as a bonus I didn’t have to pay for that. Wishing you all the best and hope you have found something you can tolerate to relieve your heartburn and acid reflux.
Hugs from cuffcake x x x x x
Thank you cuffcake
I’ve reverted back to Gaviscon after Lansoprazole gave me diarrhoea. Although Landoprazole didn’t suit me, it was enough to heal the asophagus, before this Gaviscon wasn’t working. So I now have few episodes and Gaviscon calms it.
Have a special Christmas xx
My GP paused the Alendronic acid and didn't prescribe an antacid. I think I'm going to go for the intravenous version.
Do you mean intravenous Alondronic. Does that cause heartburn? I’m on zoladronic infusions 6 monthly fur 3 years, Letrozole and abemaciclib and calci-D tablets. Who knows what the heck is causing my heartburn and acid reflux. I hope you get your under control, it’s not a pleasant complaint is it. Best wishes xx
I also had stomach problems after taking lansoprazole so I then took gaviscon tablets which helped but the doctor did say to take the Gaviscon liquid I have not tried it yet but got a bottle at home ready for the next time
