Docetexal side effects

With both types I did find both were delayed with the side effects - I’d have the chemo on Friday and it wasn’t until after the weekend that I would start to feel rubbish x

this is true, symptoms keep coming weeks after. sighs. here is hoping they start to diminish after the next few when there are no more  sadly nerves take a long time to recover (goods good nerve foods)

I had docetaxel, no side effects with 1st one, 2nd one had nausea for all of 5 mins the day after.

the pain in fingers starting now, hurts to hold things for me the side effects are aches and nerve damage ️ most of my toes are numb now 

Bless you, to be fair I have been lucky with the side effects.

Ec I was generally fine certainly better than I expected. Had constipation and hair loss. Felt sicker when I tried cold cap.  And my body decided to create an abscess in my lumpectomy scar which was interesting esp when it self burst at the hospital.  However docetaxel I ended up in hospital first cycle with sepsis - WBC count 0.5! And my temp wasn't excessively high. I just knew it wasn't right as I wrote my temp down twice daily and it was a full degree higher than my normal. Second cycle my oncologist reduced my dose to 75 percent and I was fine. Just got parainfluenza so ended up at hospital again but wasn't sepsis so just a day. That floored me for ten days. Third cycle I was absolutely fine and able to fly off on holiday two weeks later (outside danger time). 

my two weeks is port removal, no holiday but will be nice to have it gone

Gosh you have to wait two weeks. Advantage of picc line. As soon as I had finished last chemo it was gone before I left the unit
