Hi, everyone. I had as sample send for oncotyping almost 4 weeks ago and at the clinic today I was told the result was still not through. I'm worried there's something wrong. I have my first oncology appointment tomorrow, but I don't know what to expect if I still don't know whether I'm a candidate for chemo. Added to this, my mammoplasty wound broke down approx 6 weeks ago and I now have a PICO negative pressure dressing in situ to try to speed up healing. I don't want to sound like a moaning Minnie but the stress of being 9 weeks post op with no definite plan is taking its toll.
Hi Andypandy
Welcome to the forum and I am sorry to hear that you were diagnosed with breast cancer. If you need to moan away, we all understand the frustration of waiting to get our treatment plans. Mention it to your oncologist that the waiting for a treatment plan is proving very difficult for you when you see them tomorrow and hopefully they'll have an answer for you.
Wishing you the best of luck tomorrow and with your treatment whatever it may be.
Best wishes
