I keep catching stuff from my kids during chemo, I am trying to wear masks at home but it’s so hard. I don’t want to end up in hospital again. I am taking immune booster injections. Did you guys manage to wear masks at home ?
Hi Iman, I didn’t wear masks at home. Our kids are 13 and 16 so although they did bring colds home they stayed in their bedrooms away from me. Even when they bought covid home! It is difficult especially if you have young children, they seem to bring lots of bugs into the house. Maybe it worth asking your oncologist whether have ming son extra vitamin c would help.
Wishing you all the best.

I nearly finished chemo when COVID hit but did not wear a mask inside, no did any of my family. I think in any case the mask protects others from your germs and gives you very limited protection. I do use a HEPA filter fan whenever anyone gets COVID and have found that it does indeed stop it spreading.(we have all had COVID but none have caught it from each other) You could look into it. In general it should help with any air borne viruses.
Good luck
