I was diagnosed Grade 2 invasive ductal cancer,in June. Long waits for MRI and operation in September. Going for results next week after another months wait. Could I ask what is the usual time to wait for radiotherapy? Surely there is an optimum time for it to work? ( thats hoping results are good…).
Hi Cookie1991
I'm sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with breast cancer again and that it has happened so soon after the first time you were diagnosed.
Wishing you the best of luck with whatever comes next.
Best wishes

Oh my goodness I am so very sad to hear that! It must be so hard to deal with and my heart aches for you. Hoping they can see you soon as I know the waiting is hell and that they come up with a plan of action soon. Hugs

Thank you surgery next week xxx
Thank you so much. Surgery next week. It is been on this journey now since 23 January.
Cookie1991, there are no words that can express how I feel about your situation. You certainly have done all that was recommended and I wonder what your treatment plan will be this time. I am praying for you to have all the strength you need and hugs to you. Please keep us posted.

Hi
i had a third lot of surgery on the 6th July to remove all nodes and was told radiotherapy and Letrozole. I had an appointment with oncologist at the end of September who was fabulous in explaining everything including the length of time on Letrozole mortifying he’s hoping for 10 years plus a bone can and 6 monthly injections. A lot to take in thankfully I had taken a friend with me who asked all the right questions.
I naively thought I was going for my tattoos which floored me when it was just a consultation. He said there was a 110 day waiting time so talked about December. I’ve gone back to work phased return in secondary school but the waiting time isn’t helping and having more pants days than I did when off.
hope you get a date soon

Hi
I also saw my oncologist yesterday. He thought the waiting list for radiotherapy was about 7 weeks after the initial appointment but not really sure. I have 5 years of hormone treatment and he did not specify which type.
it frightens me that I will be back under the care of my GP surgery as actually being able to see a doctor is nigh on impossible
