has any one had a single masectomy but still managed to go home the same day, can see mixed results, nurse did say she didnt think i woud need a drain, and be discharged later on the same day, but can see other blogs show some have stayed in overnight then gone home.

masectomy done - went in at lunch, but came home with drain, back home for tea, should have had a drain bag and better pillow - so sorting that now, bit sore and keep forgetting the drain bag is attached - cant wait to get the flipping thing removed on 18th , had a couple of looks at what breast i have and the scar, but genuinely still hasnt really sunk in, still in bit of a daze, the blue dye they put in for the lymph node removal does come out blue if you need to wee!!! - just hope those lymph nodes are clear, back in with surgeon 27th for update on results.
