I have just had cycle 4 of EC and each time it has got worse. The nausea and fatigue is prolonged each cycle and still feeling awful and it was 6 days ago I had my last treatment.
Has anyone else felt like this? Going onto paxitaxcel in a weeks time but dreading it as this is weekly and not sure if I will be able to cope with it.
So fed up with feeling unwell. Any suggestions
Hi, I'm currently on paclitaxel and carboplatin weekly with immunotherapy 3 weekly and have had it over 12 weeks. On the whole I've found it totally managable symptoms have been minimal. I've had alot of weight gain but appetite has been healthy and most probably helped with fighting infections and avoiding hospital stays. I do take the sickness tablets before I move out of bed and drink plenty of water the first 3 days after treatment. Walking has helped with aches and pains.
I'm moving on to EC for 4 cycles every 3 weeks and I'm very worried...so it looks like we are vise versa!
Good luck. ️
Thank you for letting me know how you have cooed with paxitaxcel. I do hope I have not worried you too much about EC. Everyone is different and hopefully you will not have any problems.
The first lit of anti sickness I was given gave me extreme headaches so that was stopped and after that the headaches were less but sickness got worse along with fatigue. My EC was 2 weekly so not long to recover between cycles.
Hope all goes well for you
Hi Jax007
Sorry to hear that you are feeling so sick after your first EC chemo today. If it doesn't stop soon ring the emergency number you would have been given before chemo started and they'll be able to do something for you.
Hope you feel better soon.

When I had my first dose and was sick, I called the emergency advice line and they said that it is very important not to be sick rather than accepting that it is an inevitable side-effect. They gave advice about medication and coping with it. So what I am trying to say is, as others have said, please ring for advice rather than put up with it. X
