Yippy !!
I finally had my appointment with the consultant yesterday and have my treatment plan sorted now. I have my pre op assessment next Monday, and an appointment to have a guide clip inserted on Friday. My next appointment in the day before my surgery in neuclear medicine where I'm having radioactive stuff injected. Then following day my lumpectomy with blue dye too. They still don't have my HER2 results after 5 weeks so no idea if I will need herceptin or not yet. I still only know grade 3 ER negative but have been told that 4 or 5 weeks after op I will start chemo for about 4 months then after that Radiotherapy. It all seems so daunting at the moment.
Hi Alison 218.welcome.all similar.i am due to start chemo next week.i am her2positive so herceptin for me plus letrozol plus radio.leading up to surgery is pretty strait forward & we have all been there.i am just waiting to have my mugga before chemo.all the best & it will go quickly for you now.big hugs.x
Alison - once you start it will all move relatively quickly. Take one thing at a time.
I found a diary/ journal useful. You can record temperature, meds, appointments, side effects - if you have any - and so on.
Be kind to yourself, let your feelings out. You’ll get there.
Best wishes
