Hi, so the countdown to today has arrived - 1st EC at 2pm. I will be leaving work soon to make my way to the hospital. Feel ok I think, slight waves of anxious tummy every now and then but on the whole ok.
I will update over the next day or 2, hope everyone else is doing ok!
And now my watch begins ....
Take care all

With that side of things yes but along side of the rest of the treatment I will be having phesgo injections and thats every 3 weeks and that will be for 18 cycles and still surgery and radiotherapy to get through. Filgrastim ìnjections I have been ok with but everyone is different, possible bone ache so I was recommended to do in evening thst way if have side effects then will be able to sleep through them hopefully. Xx
Hi Hartley - glad you got through your first chemo
I took the anti-sickness for a couple of days to help with the nausea. The steroids I were given made me nibble so that got me eating - though I don’t always fancy certain foods now like chocolate !
I’ve been injecting myself with zarzio - last one was yesterday. I’m now taking mouth fungal tablets for the next 7 days as a preventative.
I also got constipated from the chemo so be careful…
Hope you feel better soon & keep up with the fluids x
this one seems less brutal, but still just bleh, it hits me emotionally mostly, yesterday was just gah, and the lack of flavour just makes me sad, its more the constant yuck, even drinking water makes me bleh, but i know i should drink more. and i just feel fuzzy which im bad at.
the injections are ok, i take claritin to help reduce the side effects, i tried without last time and felt worse, i don’t get bone aches, apparently i make white blood cells in my throat, always like heartburny for these three days.i take in the evening to sleep through.
glad you are coping well

Did the hospital give you the tablets already or did you have to ring gp for some?
Yes, just took my last steroids earlier, I have had tiny bowel movements but obv not much to poo out atm. My friend bought me a roast dinner which I'll try later and I'll have some pineapple juice too.
That should help xx
Thanks for the message Joules and hope you are keeping ok too

Aah yes, I know what you mean about the bleh, my eldest son gave me good advice and said just lean into it. Let it wrap round you, which made sense to me. Yea I forced myself with water, which I'm bad at generally despite it tasting vile. Today I cracked open the lucozade, a much welcomed change of flavour.
Thanks for the Clarityn reminder, I have bought some ready.
You take care of yourself, sending hugs
