Hi there. I am seven weeks out of radiotherapy after lumpectomy and bi lateral mammoplasty. Over the last couple of days I have been experiencing really sharp pains in the side of the lympectomy. They are like a needle stabbing me and then goes away. They take my breath away. Has anyone else experienced this and does it go away? Thanks, Sarah
Hi Rowliegirl, yes they are real zingers and painful though go away quickly. Surgeon said to me it was my nerves waking up. What helped me was doing my daily breast massage that radiation oncologist said was a good idea. Once I started it those zingers pretty much went away. Did my massage for a year after radiation. Had lumpectomy in both breasts so radiation to both too. My breasts are good now and occasionally will have a pain in the right one but it is rare. It gets better. If you want I have a video on how to do the massage. Check with your breast cancer specialist before you start as you want the ok. Take care.

Yes they are instant and go away quickly but blooming take you by surprise. I am massaging twice a day but your video would be really helpful as it might show me a different technique. Thanks so much xxx
