Hi All
Been taking abemaciclib for two weeks with severe sickness and diarrhoea. Was sent to hospital with acute renal failure. Was told to stop taking immediately. Seeing consultant tomorrow am dreading going back on but guessing I’ll get lower dosage. Am worried this won’t make any difference. The sickness was so bad, even the strong anti sickness wasn’t working. Has anyone else had these issues and Will taking 100mg make that much difference. Can anyone help
Hi Tracey I was the same lost all on chemo so I don't want again eyebrows I haven't had for years plucked them too much in 70s ha ha eyelashes noticed bit thin but don't want hair going x
Hi Mere
Ditto I only had thin ones anyways as mine were severely plucked but what I have I can’t lose again and I’m praying they just thin and I don’t lose completely. Body hair gone but hair seens okay. Have your lashes just thinned? xx
Hi Tracey , lashes not many at all but don't mind my hair very slowly growing
Had a rocky start with Abemaciclib and had to keep lowering the dose and having breaks. Been on 50mg now for the past year and am tolerating it much better. The oncologist assures me that remaining on the lowest dose will not decrease the efficacy of the drug so has kept me on this dose. The 2 years is up end of march and looking forward to that I must say. Feel exhausted all the time and am hoping that will improve when i no longer take them. It does seem odd that the efficacy of the drug remains the same whatever the dose so I wonder why we have to begin on such a high dose when it is clearly so toxic. It’s a mystery and i suspect it will remain so. Good luck to everybody who is on this, hang in there.
