I was diagnosed with lobular Brest cancer in both breasts in February.
I have had surgery but there was lymph node involvement in one arm .
Will be having radiotherapy for sure, not sure what other treatment yet as tissue is being sent to America for analysis.
anyone else had a similar experience?
looking forward to your replies
Hi German shepherd mum
Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with breast cancer in both breasts. While I haven't had the experience you are looking for I noticed that you haven't had any answers yet so I thought I'd reply to you Hopefully someone will be along shortly with an answer for you.
Wishing you the best of luck with your results on the tissue being sent to America.
Best wishes

Hi, I have a mixed lobular tumour with one node involvement. 51 when diagnosed and pre-menopausal so given chemo and possibly no radiotherapy due to having a mastectomy. Wasn't offered Oncotype presumably because I was pre-menopausal - it all seems to be different for all of us. If you have to do chemo, it has been ok. Way more manageable that I was imagining, off days but worked from home throughout and walked dogs etc. Treatment is so good. Hoping you get the score you want from Oncotype test. Big hugs x
Thank you.
a few questions
how many rounds of chemotherapy did you have?
did you lose your hair?
are you still undergoing treatment?
Hiya. Have you been told anything about the test being done in the states? My oncotype test came back within 2 weeks. I was told you get a score. If it's 0 to 15 then radiotherapy alone should be ok. If it's between 15 and 30 there's a discussion as to the benefits of chemo and radiotherapy and if it's over 30 definite chemo. However I didn't have lymph involvement. My score came back as 29 so I am currently going through chemo. Hope you get your results soon.
Should get results 19.05.23, if it is below 25 will have to send sample from other side as I had 2 kinds of lobular cancer. Sent the most invasive side first.
I’m 6 rounds of chemo, 3 EC and 3 docetaxol. Done EC, and had first docetaxol so getting there now. I know some ladies really struggle but I’ve been not too bad. Yes I’ve lost most of my hair but not all, but I couldn’t have kept it, too patchy, so shaved it off. Didn’t cold cap, hair loss wasn’t the biggest worry for me. Glad to see you’ll find your results out soon xx
