Hi there, what would you recommend for this? In advance of rads starting, I’ve tried Aveeno, not for me, red itchy rash. Anything else super mild? I’m an almost blue/white skinned redhead. Still have blue boob after SLNB blue dye during op 5 weeks ago, Smurf boob.
I am based in UK not Spain so regimes differ but my team at the hospital at my planning session gave out the product they advise to be used. Flamigel RT. It says on box for radiotherapy-induced skin reactions. Not at all to be mixed up of course with anything sounding similar. My skin is very sensitive I am a blondish blue eyed and always prone to sunburn sort of girl (62yrs now) have rarely tanned over the years and an SFP 50 on my face in summer person. The product is a gel and I used it exactly re instructions from the team which gave out a leaflet of notes they produced themselves on how and specifically when to use the gel. Anything not clear in my head I asked, as my skin is so sensitive. Hope you get some very helpful and supportive advice when you go soon and have notes at hand to ask as the mind can go blank in apptmts. My sessions numbered 15. Every week day for 3 weeks back in Aug/Sept 2022. I used the gel for many weeks after sessions ended until I went back to a normal moisturiser. I wore very cool loose fitting cotton to keep areas chafe free. Well covered up last year to protect completely from sun. Good luck to you and everyone on their treatments.
You have a lot on your plate right now. Don’t know about the radiation and you being exposed to Covid. Seems like there is always something. When I had radiation I was not allowed to use any oil during the duration of treatment. Did they tell you that too?
Good luck with everything.

Thanks ever so. I’m also a factor 50 girl, I wear that and long sleeves and trews. My Spanish neighbours call me Dracula…never seen outdoors in daylight in July and August ha ha. I’ll ask at my appointment Friday what they recommend. I’m sure they won’t provide, Spanish healthcare doesn’t seem to provide any extras. Fripperies like patient leaflets, drugs to take home from hospital, cancer nurses all seem non existent! I know they plan on 20 sessions over 4 weeks so giving me a good old frying. These old boobs have never seen daylight!
Also fair skinned, blue eyes but had dark brown hair before the silver took over. I was so worried that I would be as red as a lobster but I really was diligent about my skin care as my little breasts had never been exposed to the sun. Had 3 weeks radiation to both and then 5 extra treatments to the right one. Did really well and what a relief!!
You can do it too. I did start moisturizing about 5 days before my radiation treatment began so was all soft snd smooth and my moisture barrier intact.
