Low potassium

Hello. Just had 10th of 12 chemo today. Was told bloods ok except for low potassium. I’ve been given some tablets to go in water 3 times a day for 3 days. 

Did anyone else have this during chemo? Did it happen again? Just wondering what I need to do so it doesn’t happen again. 

  • Hi Sparkle498uk another welcome. It is possible that you may not be able to do very much about this as it is often one of the side effects of chemo and very common. My friend had the same with low Potassium, but once she finished her chemo this resolved itself. These are all questions and others you may have which you could maybe make a note of and have a chat with the team when you are next there?  Macmillan have many posts if you type in Chemo that can take you to specifics for different types of chemo thta may be useful for you.
