Hello everybody!
My last radiation therapy session was on November 4th. I now continue to take Anastrozole and get monthly Zoladex injections. I had a lumpectomy. I would like to know if any of you have experienced chest pain. So far I have no sensitivity in my nipple or in my breast, but I feel stabbing pains around those areas and sometimes under the armpit in the area where the nodes were removed. To be honest with you, sometimes the idea that it's because the cancer came back scares me. I also continue to experience numbness in my hands and feet, especially at night. A few days ago I tried to soap my back using my left arm and I noticed that the movement causes severe pain in my shoulder. It is such a strong pain that I thought I would fall to the floor. I have tried to do the arm exercises that the physical therapist at the Cancer Center recommended to me but still do not see any improvement. Is anyone else having this experience?
Hi Giovana. We finished radiotherapy around the same time. I too am on Anestrozole. For the last three or four weeks I have felt some discomfort in my breast and armpit. My breast nurse said this is totally normal. I get odd sensations sometimes in my wrist where it hurts and feels weak. Same with my knee which ocassionally gives way. I think this could be the anestrozole. I think the pain in your shoulder ought to be looked at. Honestly every time I get a new pain or twinge I think its cancer. I am sure a lot of ladies on here are the same.

Hi Giovanna ,I finished radiotherapy in January and felt great until about 1 week ago when I started experiencing stabbing pains around nipple and underarm, I’m using moisturiser around the area twice daily hoping it will ease it, but wondering is yours worse during the night time, I’m usually fine all day x take care xx
Just a question is it in both hands and feet? I wonder if you need to get checked. I could understand it in one but both maybe is unusual. My symptoms are on one side, numbness in arm pit occ burning in nerve up the arm. Xx I haven't had radiotherapy yet should start next Fri, but someone in my house has Covid.
Hello. My last radiotherapy was on November 4th and, like you, it started after a week. The pains continue and especially when I sleep and when I get out of bed. It's uncomfortable for me because I like to sleep on my side. I don't feel my breast yet. I feel pain above my breast, that is, in the chest and at the level of the sternum below my neck. When I touch my skin that also causes pain. It is something very rare. I've already been seen by a doctor and they told me it's part of the recovery, but I'm worried about how I feel. I always check my breast and move my arm to exercise it. Thanks for your recommendation.Hello. My last radiotherapy was on November 4th and, like you, it started after a week. Yes, I still have numbness in both feet and in my hands, they told me it was due to the chemotherapy with Docetaxel. I have also been suffering from lumbar scoliosis for a few years now, that is why my medical center has already referred me to Connecth Health for examination.
Hello. Yes my pain is worse at night when I am in bed. It's still very uncomfortable for me. When I try to get up every morning or at dawn to go to the bathroom, I feel that my breast is tight and tight and it causes me a lot of pain when trying to get out of bed. Take care you too.
