Hi everyone, it's Megan here from the Community team. Slight smile

We often see members asking questions about the different terminology and acronyms associated with their breast cancer diagnosis and treatment: e.g. BC (Breast cancer).

After seeing some recent discussions about this in the Breast cancer group, we thought we would ask you, our community members, to share the acronyms you have come across in this discussion thread to help new and existing members.

We can then put these together in a list and edit this discussion post so it is easy to find.

We appreciate that different medical professionals may like to use different acronyms so this list will only be a guide to help you navigate cancer information and help you find support.

There is some information about different terminology and staging in the Breast cancer booklet which may be useful. Our booklets and information pages on the Macmillan website have common acronyms in brackets to help you navigate the information.

Please comment in this thread if you have seen any acronyms which would be useful to include in the list.
