Hi MRW
Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with breast cancer. Drink plenty of fluids to flush out your system. Keep an eye on your temperature and if it goes above about 39 degrees C or if you feel shivery or too hot phone your chemo to let them know. Take your medication as you need it and if doesn't work let your chemo unit know as they can adjust the dose for you.
Wishing you the best of luck with the rest of your treatment.
Best wishes

Hiya! I felt Ok for the first few days each time with EC then found I got very tired suddenly as the anti sickness/steroids wore off. It’s worth keeping a note of anything you notice, however small, day by day, as the pattern can be very similar each round - for example I soon knew which day I was likely to get mouth ulcers so had the special mouthwash ready and citrus fruit and crunchy things were off the menu. It also helps you when you talk to your team next time about any tweaks to your medication or hints and tips they can give you for managing. The steroids did make me feel odd - a big wired - for the first few days. Be kind to yourself and if you’re feeling ok do something you enjoy.
if you get a sore mouth feels nice and is a good treat. I didn’t have nearly as many side effects as I expected but it’s worth just being familiar with them so if they happen you know where they are coming from.
Hope it goes well for you.
Thanks I really don't want to tempt fate but same as you felt a bit out of it Frist chemotherapy 2days after yesterday' Frist day felt alright today had a glass of white wine but I' wait and see as steroids finished today.hsving bone marrow injection to Friday s well now. Did you ever think with every ache and pain you have it's cancer now?
Yes. And there are some odd aches and pains! I think we all do.
Hi MRW I shall join you for the ride. I had my first EC on Tuesday so now on day 6.Feeling a bit tired but okay otherwise.
I had BC two years ago and recovered well but now have it again, a new primary cancer apparently, and am restarting the merry go round. It’s not too bad if you rest up and drink plenty of fluids. I have found all my joint pains have gone since starting chemo it’s the only plus side!
