Filgastrim injections

I asked the Chemo nurses today…,they said they will ask if I can either swap to levgrastim or reduce to 5. Waiting to see when I turn up next week but hopefully next round will be easier. Apparently the filgrastim is the cheapest so they try it first but there are ‘other options’

I was recommended Clarityn (no substitute) take one the day before your injection then one every day until day after. I asked by oncologist and she said she couldn’t see harm so I tried it and it worked! I printed off report from the ibc webste and she spreading the news. Apparently filgarttram is stimulating the chemical soo clarityn helps it.  I was in doccetaol and Phesgo too

Good luck. Clarityn is expensive but it so worked for me. Take half hour before injection whilst it’s coming to room temperature for 30 mins

Thanks if it helps I’m not bothered about the price, I need to stock up on Imodium too because that end has been bad on these injections too  xx

I’ve had the complete opposite issues on them. Weird how everyone reacts so differently. Hoping the new brand is better next week. Xx
