Morning,
I was at the unit to have my phesgo yesterday and the nurse mentioned my vitamin D level was high, calcium levels were normal. My vitamin D levels were found to be low in January and I was given 6 weeks of supplements. I would have thought they would have been out of my system by now.
Wondered if anyone had had similar, doesn’t take much these days for my anxiety to rocket.
"high" does not necessarily mean, "too high," so I am wondering what they actually meant. Is there a way for you to make contact and ask for clarification? It may be that she was trying to say that the supplements did their job; from what she sounded like, do you think that's possible or did she sound like she was telling you something was off?
Hi GreyCats
Thanks for the reply. I have phoned the unit and they are going to get in touch with the oncologist for me regarding this and when I can start the zoledronic acid. I couldn’t start it while my vitamin D was low.
Hello Gilliebean,
I don't think having high levels of Vitamin D are a bad thing.
My Consultant actually said Vitamin D is very good for us and helps against the 'C' word. ....
On way home from appointment I went straight to chemist to buy some.
