  • Definitely! Thats what I keep telling myself. Its just for now and looking at it as a whole is scary but we have to think about how we eat a whole pizza or a whole cake. 1 slice at a time... Ive had amy first slice. Just gonna ride the waves and Im jotting down all the symptoms Im feeling as Im feeling them. Things that have helped and things that havent. So when I get to 2/8 I have a base line.....

    We can do this xxx

  • It really is a lot and its a long time to be in this weird limbo when you should be living your best life with your kids and grand kids.

But one day at a time. You can do this. You will do this for you and for those around you.

Forgetting stuff all the time over here. A friend brought me little note books and pens so I have one in a little box with my thermometer and keep them with me all the time. Im jotting down my symptoms as they happen so I can try and find my rhythm. But also things that I need to do or remember!

Big hugs, keep in touch xx

  • That’s a really good idea I’m going to do that as well

I already find I can’t hold things in my head now!

you think you will remember but it’s sounds as if not

  • We can one step at a time ride the waves girls

  • Absolutely! Weve got this, together xx

  • Our motto - Ride the waves !

  • Hi how’s it going

I start my chemo tomorrow morning it’s a weird feeling of excitement I think that’s because I’m so tired of the waiting and thinking about the unknown which creates so much anxiety

  • I start mine on Monday I’m so tired that’s before I’ve started anything worried aswell . PoopTime to start mine as it’s half term and not going to be able to do much with my boy . Hope it all goes well tomorrow xx

  • Morning lovely,

Thats so weird, I was thinking I must see how you lovely ladies are doing.

    Im doing really well.

Friday I hit a bit of a wall, my sciatica flared up and I had to go to A&E because I had numbness down my leg. The staff were AMAZING! I was so nervous but they put me in my own room away from people and set me up a little bed so I could rest between checks. I got the all clear which was great.

The weekend was hard because I felt foggy and sick (once the stronger anti sickness wore off), this was impacted by the fact I couldnt get comfy because of the sciatica.

So I went slow and steady. I napped lots, drank a bottle of water when I was awake and grazed on salted crackers and ginger nuts/hobnobs. Occasionally had a sherbet lemon to clear the nasty taste in my mouth. I managed a few really healthy meals and rounded off with a McDonald's on Monday. I needed the sugar and salt!

Ladies you cab do this. I promise you, it is as bad as everyone says but not all the time.

I found I couldnt read my book so I watched an old box sets that I love and listened to the sleepy bookshelf on spotify when I needed.

I kept my box next to me at all the time with paracetamol, snacks, thermometer and my note book.

I also read somewhere its wise to have a bag packed in case you do need to go to hospital for antibiotics. I did that and it was a life saver. I had a comfy pillow, snacks, some toiletries and a change of PJs just in case. The pillow and crackers were a god send when in A&E.

I will have a think if there's anything else thays been important. Also, ask if youve any questions xxx

  • Bless you, its such a worry but your gonna be ok.

Ill update you on how the kids have beeb after the school run! Im going on the school run this morning and I'm VERY excited xxx
