Hi, had sentinal node and other nodes under left arm removed after I was diagnosed with malignant melanoma several years ago. It started as a mole on my left breast. I have now found a lump in my left breast. My question, if anyone knows the answer ... if the lump is cancerous, will the fact I have already lost those lymph nodes closest to the site have any impact on potential spread of cancerous cells? I ask because I don't know if I should be pushing to be seen sooner than Jan 7th to find out if the lump is anything sinister, thanks for reading
Hi, I am really sorry I can't personally answer your question, but I noticed your post had dropped down the pages as the site is busy today, so my response will bump it back up and perhaps someone with the relevant experience will be along soon. In the meantime, you might think about giving the Macmillan nursing team a call, or via chat as they might be able to help.

good luck
I think this is something for a qualified medic, I would either try what Irishgirl suggested or else Breast Cancer Now helpline.
If this is impacting your mental health then I would ring the appointment line and say something, even if its just to flag that you are happy to be called up if any appointments are cancelled last minute in order to be seen earlier.
Good luck on 7th or before u do get in.
