Here's a new thread for discussions around chemotherapy, as the existing threads were getting a little long.

Good news about the filgastrim, do take some loratidine with it, hopefully you’ll be fine and not get bone aches but the huge positive is hopefully your chemo won’t get delayed again I’m sorry you’re feeling grumpy, it’s really horrible, and no wonder with the stress you’re under and living with the MIL, etc. very frustrating, then chuck in some steroids and other drugs, chemo, work, etc!! Be kind to yourself, you’re coping with so much, big hugs x
I have no idea if it will be Wednesdays onwards, don't need to wind myself up any further...also the port to draw blood did hurt a bit coz they never gave me numbing ceram. Sigh. I wish ppl can do their jobs properly. They also never advice what about the steroid meds now that Ia missing the ones I have taken on the 'wrong' morning. And also now my under eye is puffy coz of all the steroids. Sigh.
Sorry so much whinging.
It's great at least u keep active. Start slow even though u try pushing ourselves. Don't forget, you're still in recovery period. Let us know iehen hair grows back. I find its gone everywhere but not eyebrows, lashes and moustache (weird!)

Oh fh
I get chemo rage too. So short with every one and so up and down with emotions. Slightest things will agitate me. I told a colleague luckily I now at work otherwise the will get the wrath fr me lol
I have to make conscious effort to stop myself coz it takes so much energy fr my already depleted levels!
Those jabs will make a lot of difference n my Neutrophils have doubled from my baseline...I was nervous as to doing it right but u will get the hang of it. I have to look at instructions every time but make sure you get it to room temp (fr fridge) before injection. I am glad they will let u have the jab, and not another delay unnecessarily. Good luck on Monday xx

yes you're right Claud - the rage is using up precious energy.
sorry they didnt give you the numbing cream for your port.
i too have had a puffy left eye ever since i started the oral chemo. the eye lid has definitely drooped and ive developed ever so slightly blurred vision in the eye.
tomorrow will be better x
Yes but then it takes a couple of days you finish them for the steroids to ‘dump’ you. But steroids or no steroids it’s hard enough anyhow. Well the loratadine was recommended to me when I was struggling with the filgastrim from the ladies on the awake thread, it seemed to ease the side effects a bit. I’ve also had problems with my eyes, I was given visuxl gel by the optician and it helped a lot, my eyes were puffy and sore because they were dried out xx
