  • Hello Winnie, I just had my 3rd  session of EC, taking me longer to come round this time, tired and tired doing anything,  glad it's over. Although I'm not looking forward to the Docetaxel.  I've been given steroids to start the day before the Docetaxel.  How did you find it. Glad to hear your nearly finished yours..I had my surgery first and I'll have radiotherapy last..hope all goes well for you..xx

  • Hi Claud,

Noticed you have had a few ups and downs, really hoping they are settling down a bit before your next session.

I’m doing ok. 5th Paclitaxel yesterday afternoon. Was really ‘done in’ so a fairly early night but then despite feeling so tired been awake since 3am’ish grrr lol.

Hair - been treated to a buzz cut, the irritation beforehand was unbearable although still the silver lining is I can have a shower without worrying about the 40 minutes it used to take to dry/style it! I had very thick hair. I found a shampoo without all the sulphates etc and it feels like it settles the irritation down (or maybe the hair-loss is taking a little break?).

Noticed a couple of little blood blisters on inside lip yesterday which now look like little ulcers. Not sure if this is tge PAC or maybe I just nipped my lip without noticing. They’re not too party brûlée though.

Recent letter advising I will be going on Exemestane (spelt correctly?) as I think I mentioned in earlier posts that it appears I am resistant to Anastrozole. Worried that this is a Steroid medication. Vanity worry more than anything sorry as I had already put on too much weight working from home during the main Covid lockdowns so grateful if anyone has any feedback re Exemestane.

Hoping for a good day for everyone

    xx

  • excuse my phone changing my words haha although a party brûlée sounds amazing it should read my lip ulcers are not too painful RoflJoy

  • Hi Claud - wide local excision with sentinel node biopsy - they do not feel mastectomy is the right path for me. They will check the tissue removed for any stray cancerous cells and hopefully will not find any (if they do then 3 x diff chemo) so fingers crossed. Then radiotherapy and HP for 13 x every 3 wks.  Hope you are doing ok x
