Hello guys! Does radiotherapy to the axilla mean they will do the whole under arm? Or just local to the crease of the shoulder if that makes sense ?

I suspect they irradiate the entire chain of lymph nodes from the shoulder downwards. The beams can happily travel through bones and muscles to where they’re needed so I don’t think you have to actually aim the bits of your body at the machine. That’s just what I’m thinking though so do check with the BCNs

I’m not too sure. Not sure if I should wait til next week when the radiotherapy will actually start. Have problems with bcn so I don’t want to contact her

Auxiliary nodes are from shoulder down so they are doing them all above the shoulder are the sub Clavian nodes and depending on your cancer spread they can do them but you may not need those doing 

Yeah that’s what I don’t get. She didn’t say shoulder down she pointed at the crease of the shoulder before you get to the actual armpit
