Hello
I've just been diagnosed with invasive ductal cancer grade 3 triple negative I'm so scared is anyone going through the same?
You mustn't beat yourself over not finding out sooner. I know how you feel also, as I didn't find mine till nipple was indented! It's so silent and you don't even feel unwell in any way. When I read my diagnosis I am terribly frightened, on paper I am so ill, in my body I feel fine! So I choose to trust all my might into my body. To be honest, medicine is soooo advanced now, no matter what stage/grade many women choose to fight. And fight we will!! And come out the other side.
We all know the anxiety and fears, and we feel lose control. But there are things which we can try to put ourselves in a better place, keep up spirits, eat sleep right and nourish our body mind and soul.
Take a step at a time, and be kind to yourselves.

Yes you are so right. I don't even think it has sunk in what has happened to me as it happened so quickly and don't feel ill. First appt with oncology today to discuss next stage.
Hope you are feeling ok after your op? X
Good luck Mel at Onco today.
Make sure you get some questions you have answered. Don't worry if there is plenty of jargon but I am sure you will be fine...I went to mine alone but the explanation was good but still you do come away after digesting the info..you can ring the onco nurse. For me I had the secretary email so I drop my questions by email to get answers.
Keep talking Mel, we are here for you no matter how big or small your thoughts are?
For me initially was suppose to go chemo but felt pushed and thought I rather op first. The medical team was supportive thank goodness! Don't make any difference which comes first but in my head I feel I can cope better this way round. Many people make choices to suit them. Just don't be afraid to find what is your path.
Thinking of you...sending you loads of positive energy to face today.

Hi thanks everyone we have all been in this journey so helps that this have all felt the same . All of what you say resonates with me . I think I have been overthinking it all . I think because initially I was told EPC caught early just surgery and radiotherapy. Then further biopsy showed 3 cm triple negative, now needed MRI then 3 weeks later results shows tumour 11 cm now needing a full CT . I just see the pattern at each stage the news has been worse . If they had done it all at the beginning I would have assumed it was ol routine .
how you feeling today Claud , hope you not too sore . Xx
Thanks Harley for asking. I have parked myself on sofa, loaded up with paracetamol. Codeine made me feel so awful I stopped that. Doing some arm exercises which really helped keeping it supple. Did the dishwasher and breakfast cut up fruit myself so proud! Lol every lil thing I can do surprises me! I will make lunch in a bit. I think keeping the softie and bra on has actually made it less sore with some pressure on. Luckily I don't have the drains. Just moving slowly and make sure being gentle all round.
Eat and sleep. Must get use to this lifestyle for now even though not my thing!
Please please keep positive hun. It may become tenfold worse with our head all over the place but don't let yourself go there...you are a strong lady with a good heart...you are one who sorts everything out for everyone else this strong you ARE and you WILL kick Cancers Ass...even though the journey to the other side keeps changing...(hugs) xxx

Yes I was the same, like you feel like all these test just bringing up something different. At first 3cm cancer no lymph node abnormality to then be told 3.5cm with enhancement and 1 lymph node. Then had mastectomy 3 days later and whilst in hospital having mastectomy, bone scan and ct scan appts arranged for the week after. Then histology confirned 12cm cancer and 7 lymph node positive. It so much to take in x
Sometimes that's just the way it pans out. A CT is very important. It can also rule out things. If they didn't do these things they'd be working in the dark wouldn't they ? It is because of a CT scan that a doctor can proceed with other procedures and treatment plans. This includes radiation therapy, surgery, and biopsies. Some cancers don't show up on the basic tests, so they do MRIs and CT scans which are more expensive and more sophisticated. Just go, don't be afraid to tell them you're a bit worried and they will certainly look after you. I say this as a big pain baby myself ----that's why I get a lot of anaesthetic. And have a cupboard full of Paracetamol .........a CT scan is no big deal. Chemo is.
