Hello
I've just been diagnosed with invasive ductal cancer grade 3 triple negative I'm so scared is anyone going through the same?
Hi Bextor , sorry you find yourself here . Don’t be alarmed by staging as until they take out the tumour it so not set in stone . If once you get your full diagnosis we can help support you and answer any questions . Between us all we have a whole range of types of BC . Mine is grade 3 , stage 3 triple negative . Xx
Sorry to hear your wbc counts haven't been playing ball. Did they give u the filgastrim injections? Those really helped me and they've doubled my stats! Try to get some advice to up it where possible?? So that u can't to complete the whole treatment. I know it's so tough to balance everything I find first two weeks it's managing SE after SE and keep up meds and third week is working much to get stats up to top nick for the next hit of chemo. Such a mission. Hence I was really disappointed when they forgot to order my chemo, ought to be shameful that lady! It's also the way she delivered the message like its no big deal and oblivious to the impact of her mistake then goes to hide in her office! Unbelievable!
Thanks Key for asking about me though. Got the chemo yday two days later and now can't go back to my original infusion day! Which spills me over to after Easter break for finishing treatment. Good job I hadn't booked any hols then!
It was scary to watch another lady who had an allergic reaction and they had the defib out and all! She was then taken to hospital by paramedics! Luckily they acted fast!! I was amazed how the paramedic was so chilled and was even singing but I think his intention was to relax her and everyone!! Could be easily misconstrued. At one point I also forgot to breathe!! Was really scary! The day before there was another lady who fell off her chair trying to get up to the toilet!

Hi Bexter
Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with breast cancer. Like you I thought breast cancer was just breast cancer until I was diagnosed 18 months ago.
Best of luck with your treatment when it starts.
Best wishes

Harleybear. If you chat with your Oncologist they should be able to tell you the percentage risk of re-occurrence. The breathing thing is no big deal. My radiotherapy was to left breast. It was easy. You may or may not get a rash, depending on your skin's reaction. I did, but I have sensitive skin anyway, so expected a problem. You just use lots of moisturiser to counteract it. It's not a big deal. I have been told to keep doing the moisturising. Many people have no problem with radiotherapy at all. I had radiotherapy because I was always told it was a good idea, right from the start and I just don't fancy more cancer to deal with later on in my life. If it comes back it would probably mean another mastectomy. I would have to, but don't want to cope with that. The cancer I had was aggressive too. I'm guessing it would come back just as badly and I wouldn't notice, as I didn't know about any of the lumps before they were discovered on mammogram screening and ultrasound. So I'm not expecting to feel them on my own examinations.
Hello Bexter, I´m sorry to read about your bc diagnosis but you´re very welcome here. Everyone is so helpful and friendly.
I was diagnosed with TNBC stage 1, grade III in mid September. I have my last chemo of the programmed cycles next Friday plus on that same day an appointment with the surgeon to discuss what operation I´ll have.
Thing is I am confused about that one because surely they´ll need to order another ultrasound and other scans to see what surgery is necessary before going ahead?
Perhaps someone on here knows and can explain (please!).
Hello Doria
Have you not had a mri to check how the tumour has reacted to chemo ? x
Yes I had an MRI, they did say that they weren’t unduly concerned by the results as I was having a mastectomy anyhow but they wanted to see what response I’d had and just to check the results of the previous scan as I’d shown spread to at least one node which was well established. But I don’t know if it’s standard x
Thank you Dora, hope all goes well with surgeon, maybe they just want to touch base with you before planning surgery xx
Hi Doria , I had an MRI had way through my chemo to see what response there has been to the tumour . Mine showed no response. Xxx
