Hello
I've just been diagnosed with invasive ductal cancer grade 3 triple negative I'm so scared is anyone going through the same?
Ah thanks Doria for thinking of me, 2 weeks delay on chemo now platelets low last week, neutrophils low this week apparently if bloods keep being low they will go for surgery and then radiotherapy and skip rest of chemo, which im a little worried about. Fingers crossed I put up soon.
Claud sorry to hear about your chemo not being ordered when will you have it now?
Harleybear so glad your drains are removed now recovery ready for next steps.
Doria how you doing ?
Shaz52 nearly there, I was on countdown but seems my body has other ideas. xx
Hi Key , sorry things are not going so well with your chemo . As you know they brought my surgery forward and I have regretted it ever since . You make sure that whatever the advice going forward you do what is right for you . If your bloods are ok and you want to continue the Chemo let them know that . Also if you want to do chemo post op then tell them that as all the research I have read says doing chemo post surgery gives the best chance of TNBC not returning in the future. I learnt the hard way and from now I am taking control over my treatment . It is very hard when things don’t go to plan , it means having to get your head round the changes .
When are your next bloods ? Try and make the most of the days you are feeling relatively well xxx
Bloods will be Wednesday next week now, Its been nice having the break especially as children are on half term.
I know bless you it's been a tough time for you recently and you are doing amazing. My oncologist said they won't continue my chemo if I have to have the op earlier but I will get radiotherapy. One bit of good news was its slightly smaller.
When is your oncologist appointment? x
My appointment is 28th. What reason did they give you for not continuing chemo . Most have chemo after surgery as a belt and braces type approach . Maybe it is different as we have both had chemo before surgery . I am going to ask that I do the chemo as I don’t want to have radiotherapy xxx
Hi Shaz, so glad you are nearing the end of chemo.....well done,
All the best to you and everyone, i keep following you all,
Hugs Ratty....xx
Hi Ratty , lovely that you are following us all . This thread has been a great support to me and others I hope .
Hope you are going ok xxxx
Hi harleybear, thank you, I will do some reading up before my appointment. Are you deciding not to have radiotherapy. It will mean one more surgery for me but I will deal with that one step at a time xx
Hi Rattybaggins yes treatment tomorrow and next Friday is my last chemo. My herceptin will continue. Hopefully abit of normality will start to return. All the best to you Ratty it is lovely that you are following us all. Love n hugs everyone xxx
