Hello
I've just been diagnosed with invasive ductal cancer grade 3 triple negative I'm so scared is anyone going through the same?
Hi Doria , sorry you find yourself here. You are most welcome though. I too have Grade3 TNBC . I had my 3rd cycle of EC chemo today. I will be starting 12 weeks of PC chemo in 3weeks . How have you coped with the weekly one , I’m dreading it as not coped well with this one . Are you due surgery after the chemo . That is the plan for me. This group is very supportive and has saved me more than once on some very dark days . Xxxx
Hey Sunshine , how did you cope with the weekly sessions . I have just finished my 3 EC and due to start weekly on 21st December. Haven’t coped well with the EC. Did you have surgery after Chemo ? Xxxx
So sad to read about your Dad dying . Just wanted to send you a big hug xx
Hi Claud , all of this is very daunting but as Shaz says there are more treatments available to cure Her+ cancers. The chemo will add another layer as well. When I was diagnosed I was told there was 5 treatments available for BC , chemo , surgery , radiotherapy, hormone treatment and immunotherapy. I have 3 of those that work on TNBC, which is why I needed chemo first to see if it would respond to that. I am hoping it melts it away and the surgery becomes my extra precaution. We can all do this , take everything offered xxxx
Hi Harleybear having weekly paclitaxel was easy although a pain every week its a much smaller dose and your body deals with it ok. My friend had hers every 2 weeks and was ill. My oncologist said weekly is a better option I carried on as normal after it so good luck I am sure you will be fine. Had my surgery first so now just completing with a week of radio on 9th Dec. And I'm done. Mined all started after 1st covid jab breast swelled and I found the lump I never knew I had so thank god for the jab. Enjoy your rest and don't worry weekly is so much easier on your body. Little and often worked well for me xxx
Oh V...you're such a strong lady this was one of my fear - fainting hence I don't try to venture too far on my own. How you can see the humour in your experience is just soooo great...so high spirited and amazing lady you are. Made me smile with the makeshift ambulance and lying on grass with hat over face!! We all need to see silver linings for sure!!
I think I worry fainting in toilet where I can then seriously hurt myself.
At least I will have elderly parents in law to call on I suppose for the real SOS

Hey Harley
I also have the full shebang. But I try not to get overwhelmed and break it down in bits...which then in my head is more manageable .
I can feel your mindset getting stronger, so well done to get in that frame of mind I find when the mind is in a bad place everything seems tenfold worse.
They will throw everything at it...and I just need to keep swimming through it all ....keep positive!!

Fainting is also a fear of mine. I once fainted trying on my wedding dress in the bridal shop. Another time in a chip shop, came round with the eldely man looking after me lol. I was more embarrassed than anything else but it caused me anxiety for years. I hate standing in queues in shops, especially if the shop is hot and stuffy,.
Ps - the sausage waving made me giggle. I have 4 boys and this is something one of mine would do :-)
