Hey everyone.

I have written a retrospective blog of my breast cancer journey so far - I have tried to include facts with feelings and have received great feedback from friends and family.
They have suggested I get it out to a bigger audience as it may help someone newly diagnosed and scared of what the future may hold. I have HER2 and ER2 positive cancer so this blog is specific to my treatment but may still be useful if you have a different type as I’m sure the feelings are the same.

The link is here.

I would be grateful for your support and really hope it may help as many of you as possible.

Love and best wishes to all of you - we are strong and we have got this!

  • Hi Julie I have HER 2 positive and ER positive too. Just read your blog and amazing, well done. So true to some of my experience. I just have the booster RT to do, 5 days left. I’m then on the TDM1 which includes herceptin for 14 cycles.
I felt more uplifted after reading your blog and yes, life goes on. That’s what you realise when you are going through cancer. What’s done is done and I just want to get on with life which I say to myself has just taken a 10 month detour.
I wish you well and look forward to reading more. This forum, including many blogs, has helped me. Thankyou x

  • Hi Hmfm

I’m so sorry you are going through this too - it’s pretty grim isn’t it?

thank you for your kind words about the blog - It’s almost up to date as I had my final chemo cycle yesterday so only a few more entries and it will no longer be retrospective!

I wish you well with your ongoing treatment.

  • Hi Julie,  I am at early stages of diagnosis so not sure what I have yet but found your blog very informative of the process and how things work,  I will probably refer back to it at some points,  thank you,  Chris x

  • Hi Chris

i‘m  so sorry to hear you are going through this hideous experience.

I hope the blog continues to help you as you receive your diagnosis.

    Good luck
